Collis, passion for quality
1. Grape growing and
The quality of Collis products originates in the vineyards, where every day, right up until harvest, our winegrowing members tend to the vines in a way that respects the environment, by means of sustainable farming.
2. Delivery and
The harvested grapes are delivered to the Collis collection centres, where they undergo immediate quality checks before processing.
3. Processing and
The grapes are processed and wine is made in the Group’s six Wine Cellars, thanks to the skilled work of our wine experts and the technological equipment at our facilities. Some of the grapes are partially dried at this stage. The “finer” wines will undergo maturation in wooden barrels, while the others will be aged in stainless steel tanks.
4. Laboratory checks
Our wines are continually analysed and monitored throughout the winemaking process, with the aid of tests performed in the laboratories in accordance with food safety and product traceability requirements.
When they are ready, the wines are transported to the Monteforte d’Alpone facility at the Cantine Riondo site. This is where they are made into semi-sparkling or sparkling wine - where necessary - and bottled. The products leave the line with different packaging and labels depending on the reference channel.
Lastly, the final products are arranged on pallets and prepared for shipment throughout Europe and overseas, with ex-works and Free on Board terms.
